20 Weeks!

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know you'll probably get sick of all these dang pictures of my belly but can I help it? Negative. I feel as though with every passing week my belly explodes just a little bit more. But the best news of all is that last week I felt Baby kick me!!!! And it hasn't stopped since. It's awesome. In the morning before breakfast Baby wants food, after breakfast Baby thanks me. Same goes throughout the day about every three hours or so. I guess, the best part actually was when Josh was able to feel the lil' knuckle head kickin'. We both had a good laugh!
Next Thursday is the ultrasound and I'll post then with more news!

I have cracked out the maternity top. Yowzers!

Love you!

19 Week Baby Buddah Belly

Here's the latest. I had to get the belly band so I could keep wearing my old jeans, but I have a feeling that won't last long and I'll soon be buying maternity pants. Wowzers!!!

P.S. I swear I'll take a picture one of these days when I haven't just woken up or worked out.

Love you!

New Kicthen (Almost complete!)

Well, so far the updates on our house have gone quite smoothly and I can say the same for the newest, the kitchen cabinets. When we first moved in, there was linoleum floors and linoleum base board, a smaller fridge, no paint and light cabinets.

First, we painted. Next, we tiled the floors and added wood baseboard that matches the rest of the house. A couple months ago, our neighbors gave us a free fridge because it wasn't keeping things cool. Leave it to Josh to research and fix our problem! Now we've got a great fridge that didn't cost us a nickel! We most recently did our cabinets (kitchen and 2 bathrooms). We sanded them down and Josh sprayed them with a tinted lacquer. We then found some brushed nickle hardware to off-set the darker color. The only thing we have yet to do is new countertops. We're going the money-saving route so I'll keep it a secret and just show you the pictures after it's all complete!

Here are before pictures from when the house was for sale and the after pictures that we've taken!

In baby news, I'm getting bigger by the second. I'll have 19 week belly pictures this weekend and Feb. 4th is our 20 week ultrasound!!

Love you all!

17 Week Doc Visit

Nothing really special to report from this visit other than every looks great and we're still on track! I put on 4 more pounds despite my holiday binge which I really can't seem to kick. We got to hear Baby's heart beat again! 150 BPM and strong!! 3 weeks until our ultrasound and though we thought we were set on waiting until Baby was born to find out the sex, now we're kind of itchin' to know. We'll probably decide that day. Right now it's 80% wait, 20% find out.

We've decided on a nursery theme if anyone wants to get your wheels turnin' it's "Vintage Surfing." Think 60's/70's, VW van parked on the sand with a coupl'a boards stacked on the roof. The main color is what the sky looks like on the verge of a thunderstorm. We'll probably add some wainscoating (sp?) around the room as well!

We'll finish up our kitchen cupboards this Saturday so we can be ready to watch the Vikings WIN on Sunday!!!!! Love you all, the belly continues to grow as I find I wasn't able to fit into one of my bigger pairs of pants today. Gonna go buy that special elasticy thingy so I don't have to buy all new pants!

Happy New Year!

We had a wonderful time visiting family and friends over the holidays in MN. It was such a joy to be with everyone and catch up. We were able to spend time with the Berg's, Buffham's AND the Savage's! We met my parents new addition, Vinny, the little black pug that could. He grew on us quickly and we became..."The three best friends that anyone could have, yes we're the three best friends that anyone could have, yes we're the three best friends that anyone could have and we'll never, ever, ever be apart." (If you know what movie this is from, you ROCK! If not, rent The Hangover.) We took advantage of the snow and went sledding and for exercise, we went jogging through the sidewalk snow piles of 2-3 feet! And we made snow angels, of course.

Judy and Andy were kind enough to watch Chloe and Jack and I'd say their overall report card would be a C+. I think they behaved mostly while we were gone, but started to act up a bit when we were all spending time together. They got into a cupboard and ate up popcorn, trail mix, crackers, Emergen-C and God knows what else. So then we had a couple of sick pups mopin' around. I think they're back to good now.

Josh and I spent our 3rd Anniversary putzing around Albany, OR. We had mexican lunch, and as an anniversary gift to each other, we bought bedding for our bed. We then went and saw Sherlock Holmes ( a must see) and had a romantic italian dinner.

New Year's Eve we hung out with Judy and Andy and counted down with NYC. We were in bed around 10PM!

Now were home and deciding which project to do next. Attached is the first "baby bump" picture I'm putting up and despite the horrendous amount of holiday food I ate, there truly is a baby under that gut somewhere! We're at 16 weeks now and soon I will have another doc's appointment so look for another update.

Happy New Year to all!!
